Eye exercises

For eye health, good eyesight, mental relaxation and clarity

Yoga eye exercises help maintain or improve eyesight. They help relax the eyes and prevent headaches. Especially people who do a lot of computer work or read a lot should definitely do the eye exercises daily. In the Yoga Vidya series, the eye exercises are practiced at the very beginning, e.g. after the initial relaxation. After the eye exercises come the breathing exercises.
Eye exercises can also be practiced independently at some point during the day while sitting or standing.
Please note: This display board cannot replace yoga lessons. People with eye diseases should of course consult a qualified ophthalmologist or naturopath.

Effects of eye exercises

Physical: Yoga eye exercises help maintain or improve eyesight. The eye muscles are strengthened and stretched. They help relax the eyes and prevent headaches. Especially people who do a lot of computer work or read a lot should definitely do the eye exercises every day.
Energetic: Since the eyes are also connected to the important nadis (energy channels) Ida and Pingala, the eye exercises also harmonize the sun and moon energies in people. The two brain hemispheres are harmonized.
In addition, the eye exercises open the so-called third eye (Trikuti, Ajna Chakra), which stands for intuition and knowledge.
